East Wing Opening

Cleveland Museum of Art

25’ x 25’ banners paired a cloud detail from René Magritte’s, The Secret Life (from CMA’s east wing collection) with the floating black letterforms spelling “FREE” on outdoor banners. “FREE” refers to museum’s founding mandate that their permanent collections be free to the public. The banners also refers to the wonderful summertime feeling after a long Cleveland winter.
